Medline introduces a dedicated sales force for Advanced Wound Care in the UK
Medline offers value adding prevention and skin care concepts to avoid pressure ulcers, skin tears, moisture related wounds and skin irritation. In an effort to efficiently and competently promote this product portfolio, Medline introduced a whole sales force dedicated specifically to Advanced Wound Care in January 2017. Together with our clinical personnel, the sales force provides excellent customer attention and will work with your facility to offer customised education, clinically-proven, evidence-based products and ongoing outcomes management.
Medline Netherlands nominated for the 2017 NEVI Care Supplier Award
On the 2nd of Februray, Medline participated in the 2017 NEVI Care Supplier Award and finished in 3rd place. Medline was nominated by the members of the NEVI organisation with 2 other companies, the winner ultimately to be named the best supplier of 2017 in the Netherlands. We were very proud to be in the final round and to participate in the event.

Medline will celebrate the extension of its warehouse in Chateaubriant, France on Nov 24
On Thursday 24th of November, Medline Assembly SAS, located in Châteaubriant, France, will celebrate the extension of its warehouse. To underline this new step, Medline will organize a groundbreaking with all plant employees, the mayor of Châteaubriant and his team. The same day, to show our commitment to sustainable development, we will plant a tree next to the facility. The event will be hosted by Tripp Amdur - Group President, Vish Bhave – SVP EU Product Divisions, Violaine Bléjan - European HR Director and Hervé Million - SPT Director. Medline is excited to celebrate the event!
Medline joins UN Global Compact and BITC
As part of our corporate social responsibility activities, Medline is pleased to announce that our company has joined two new membership organisations:
• The United Nations Global Compact - A global organisation with more than 9 000 member companies, the UN Global Compact promotes action on human and labour rights, the environment, and anti-corruption. Read more here.
• Business In The Community - A European organisation with more than 800 member companies, BITC aims to create a fairer and more sustainable society. Focus areas include employee diversity, disaster relief, the environment and labour and human rights. Read more here.

Medline announces distribution deal with Addlife
Arnhem, the Netherlands, October 20, 2016 – Medline International B.V. signed a distribution agreement yesterday with Addlife to represent Medline International B.V. in respect to all sales and support throughout the Nordic region. The business will become an integral part of existing operations of Mediplast Group, within Addlife’s business unit Medtech. The Nordic operations will be transferred during the month of November 2016 and will add about 40 million SEK annually and the activities in the market will be built around the strong sales and support organization within Mediplast Group.

Medline distribution center in Kleve awarded DGNB certificate in gold
Sustainability right from the beginning
Kleve, Germany, October 5, 2016 - Medline is pleased to announce that in August the European distribution centre in Kleve was awarded the DGNB certificate in gold for sustainable and green building. Medline welcomes the European sales team for trainings in the Netherlands
In September Medline welcomed our European sales team in the Netherlands for the autumn sales meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is sales training and team building; it is an important time for the sales team and product divisions to meet. This occasion is also a great opportunity for our sales force to strengthen and deepen their knowledge of Medline’s core products through training and the product fair.

Dutch press features Medline as a good example in the battle against waste
Medline was featured in Facto, a Dutch magazine for facility professionals. The article “Strijd tegen afval” (a battle against waste) is about companies which strive to pursue environmentally friendly business practices that limit waste.
As the global amount of waste is rapidly increasing, taking action is becoming essential. The writer Ronan van Velse is the manager of purchasing and logistics at Rijnstate hospital in Arnhem, the Netherlands. He suggests measures such as using fewer raw materials, less packaging, and greater use of recycled and recyclable products. In his article, Ronan van Velse highlights the Medline facility in Chateaubriant, France as a good example to follow. The packaging machine that Medline uses cuts and folds boxes at exactly the right size to prevent waste of cardboard and to eliminate the use of cushioning material during transport.
Medline employees join the 10000 steps challenge
Since the 25th of May, Medline employees around the world are taking part of the exciting Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) to improve both their physical fitness and workplace productivity at the same time.
Participants sign up in teams of 7 and try to reach at least 10,000 steps a day, as recommended by many national health and well-being guidelines. This year there are 98 Medline teams participating from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Australia, Japan, and USA and they are competing for a period of 100 days.This challenge is an easy way for our employees to be more active while taking part of a friendly competition.

Founded in 1966, Medline’s roots date back to 1910 when A.L. Mills, the great-grandfather of the current leadership, started sewing butcher’s aprons in Chicago. In 1966, A.L. Mills’ grandsons Jim and Jon Mills, changed the name to Medline Industries, Inc. They founded Medline with about 20m² of warehouse space and one loading dock.
For 50 years Medline has been helping healthcare professionals deliver the quality and value they need. Today in Europe, Medline employs more than 800 associates including 160 account managers and product specialists to support its growing markets in Europe.

Medline is Celebrating Earth Day on Friday 22nd of April
Earth Day was started in 1970 as a day to promote environmental protection. Now in its 46th year, Earth Day is celebrated in 193 countries across the world. As an organization we are convinced that we can greatly contribute to environmental protection by behaving more responsibly, at both a collective and individual level. Therefore, Medline encourages all our employees to participate in Earth Day by taking on-the-ground actions to help reduce our impact on the environment like:
• Walk , bike, car pool or take public transportation to work instead of taking the car
• No trash day: switch disposable products for reusable products
• Turn off unnecessary lights, computer screens and other unused electronics
• Save paper: only print what is necessary and print on both sides of the paper
A successful collaboration in Sweden leads to the development of a new patient lift sheet
Medline’s Operating Room Division and Johan Bongstorp – Sales Manager for the Nordics – worked in collaboration together with Maud Brink and Innovation Skåne to develop a new lift sheet in Sweden. The idea originally came from Maud Brink who has worked as an anesthetist nurse in the operating unit in Helsingborg and thought it should be a smarter tool to move the patient from the operating table to the bed by means of a lift.
After 6 months of tests, development of prototypes and final approval with the CE mark, the idea became a sheet that also works as a hoist. Now Maud Brink, Innovator Skåne and Medline have entered into a partnership to develop, market and sell the sheet that meets all the requirements to be sold on the European market.

Spain, January 17th, 2016- Medline and Antonio Garcia – Director of Sales and Marketing for Spain and Portugal – were featured in the magazine “A tu Salud”. The magazine “A tu Salud” comes with the Sunday edition of the Spanish newspaper “La Razón”. This special edition magazine is dedicated to single use medical products and innovations. Antonio presents the Iberian team and their projects and talks about Medline’s history and Medline as a leading company in the healthcare industry.

Pink Glove Dance 2015 Award Ceremony in Florence, Italy
The Breast Unit of the Florence Department of Oncology was awarded first place in the Medline Pink Glove Dance competition. The celebration took place in the evocative setting of the Renaissance Salone dei Cinquecento, the ceremony hall of the ancient city hall of Florence on November the 29th.
The Medline Pink Glove Dance video competition is the only breast cancer prevention campaign that unites more than 200,000 healthcare professionals, survivors, patients and communities to honor those who have been affected by the disease and raise money for a cure. And they do it by dancing, wearing pink exam gloves. Because, when it comes to breast cancer awareness, pink matters.

Medline prepares new employees with regular trainings to better serve customer’s needs
Medline regularly arranges week-long training courses in the Netherlands to better equip staff for new roles within the organisation. The programme is designed for sales training and divided into two different levels, Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Phase 1 is specifically developed for employees within their first three months with the company and serves as an introduction to the Medline product portfolio as well as sales strategies. Having completed Phase 1, the staff is invited back to attend Phase 2 after three to six months for advanced training in sales strategies and competitor analysis.
To promote stellar performance there is a prize for one candidate from each of the training levels. The prizes are awarded to those who have excelled in written tests, participated during educational sessions as well as portrayed a great attitude during the week.
Phase training prepares our sales representatives and other employees for their career at Medline and ultimately to better serve our customer’s needs.

Medline International GmbH New Warehouse Opening in Kleve
State of the art facility to expand Medline’s reach in
Kleve, Germany, May 8, 2015 - Medline International Germany GmbH is delighted to announce the opening of its new warehouse in Kleve as of May 8. Medline, a leading provider of surgical and medical products worldwide, has tripled the size of its European distribution center to 37000 m2. This expansion comes as a response to growing demand for its products and services and growth plans for Eastern Europe, including the expansion of the company’s integrated logistics services. Medline opens a new manufacturing site in Slovakia
Good news for Bánovce nad Bebravou: Minister Pavol Pavlis announced the arrival of a new investor
Bánovce nad Bebravou, Slovakia, 25. 03. 2015 - Bánovce nad Bebravou can look forward to new opportunities. This summer Medline will start new business in the health sector and in the first stage will employ 60 people and invest € 1.6 million.
Pavol Pavlis, Economy Minister: "I am glad that an investor with long history in the field of health and production not only in Europe but also overseas, chose Slovakia as another country for its business activities. This shows that Slovakia is a good partner with a stable business environment and quality workforce". When the activity will be successful, Medline intends to gradually expand production to 200 people from Bánovce area.

Medline UK account managers & product specialists are now registered under MIA
Medline is pleased to inform our customers that all United Kingdom based Medline account managers & product specialists are now registered under the MIA scheme. The scheme was launched in 2013 by the medical technology industry to raise standards of training for company representatives and service engineers visiting acute and critical care areas of hospitals. All Medline representatives who visit acute and critical areas of hospitals will carry a MIA pass.
Medline maintains several quality management systems to ensure efficient systems and regulatory compliance. Medline Spain and Italy were recently recertified for ISO 9001 and Medline France, Châteaubriant was recommended for ISO 9001. In addition to the new certification, Medline France, Châteaubriant has been successfully audited for ISO 13485.
ISO 9001 is an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard that outlines the requirements for a comprehensive quality management system for the design and manufacture of products. ISO 13485 is specific for companies involved in the design and manufacture of medical devices; it is seen as the medical industries’ ISO 9001 equivalent.
Medline Germany, Kleve has been successfully audited in May for ISO 13485 and will apply for ISO 9001 in January. In addition, Medline Italy and Spain locations were successfully audited for ISO 14001, environmental management. Medline is pleased to announce the successful audits and to continue to strive for high quality management systems.
